On 11 November 2025, Det Moderne India and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi brought together key voices from India and Norway for “India & Norway: From Grassroots to Glory – Lessons from the Norway Cup Triumph”.
The gathering explored youth football, talent development and lessons from Minerva Academy’s remarkable success in Europe, while also looking at opportunities for greater collaboration between India and Norway.
Speakers included Norway’s Ambassador to India May-Elin Stener, Minerva Academy founder Ranjit Bajaj, Norway Cup representative Jens Naas-Bibow and Det Moderne India founder Rina Sunder, alongside representatives from India’s sporting community.
For Det Moderne India, the event was part of a broader effort to connect people and institutions in India and Norway around new areas of cooperation. Football offered a compelling new arena – from grassroots development and coaching to international exposure for young players.
The conversations in New Delhi became part of the foundation for what would later develop into Road to FIFA 2034.
The road to 2034 was beginning to take shape.
